Autoroutes du Sud de la France (ASF) is France’s largest operator of toll roads and the second-largest toll-road operator in Europe. ASF controls three 124km French highways (36.5% of the total) and had turnover of 2.4 billion euros in 2004. ASF manages the A9 highway, which runs 285 kilometers from the south of France to Spain. The highway, which collects tolls based on vehicle size, connects the major cities of southwestern France and handles enormous numbers of vehicles traveling to Spain.

In the summer of 2009, ASF decided to install cameras in 10 toll stations on the A9 highway to identify vehicle information, including type, size and shape, in order to verify payment collection.

ASF has alreay deployed 50 sets (SCB261+ SAH725) in toll stations, placing them strategically where they will readily recognize vehicle information. With Messoa's cameras on the job, ASF will able to easily resolve all problems related to the size of vehicles, no matter the time of day or the weather conditions.
